I went on my first extreme scouting mission yesterday. It kicked my butt a little, but I saw some very motivating bucks. I'm totally stoked! Shoot and work out daily for the next month and I'll be all over 'em. Who's Ready?

Been practicing ever chance I get in the backyard, but haven't had a lot of time to scout. I do have to say that I've got the bug to hunt real bad this year. So to answer your question bowboy.....I'm ready yesterday.

I'm sad not to be hunting with my hubby this year, but am super excited for him. He has some nice bucks he's watching in his LE unit & I really hope he gets the one he wants. As for me, I have sons with the same tag as me & are always willing to let me tag along, giving me plenty of opportunity to hunt. Been practicing out in the driveway & hiking to Pudge's camera's for quite awhile, so, yeah, baby, it's on!!!

I expanded my scouting this weekend with a trip to the Pahvant with my dad. He has an archery bull tag. We saw about 60 bulls and looked at different areas from north to south. I wonder if the bulls we saw will still be in the same place in their bachelor herds on the opener?

My Brother has the Pauns. archery deer and has been seeing some good bucks. Where do I go on opener? I wish there were two of me!!

Im getting pretty pumped up myself. Got my broadheads shooting great. I know where some good bucks are and I can hopefully close to within 40 yards and git-r-dun. As for you bowboy better go with dad, wish I would of spent more time hunting with my dad!!! Anyway its on, and good luck to all!

Sounds really good....Good luck to you all.. Pretty stoked myself. Can't wait to get out there either. I am hunting the Northern Region for the first time in the Strawberry Reservoir area for elk. Know of any decent areas around there for deer? Not looking for a trophy, just want opportunity for a few shots at a buck... Thanks

Bowboy, give me a call sometime so we can go shoot and talk about the upcoming hunt. I'm getting some nice groups out to 55 yards. Picked up a new blind so my 9 and 7 year old don't have to hear Dad constantly telling them to quit moving. Yeah, we're all excited around my house, except for the wife.
