So, I'm always interested to see what guys are shooting and why. I've never been much of a speed guy, but I have seen the benefits of not lobbing arrows at a potential victim. I've had my set ups around 270-280 fps for several years, shooting arrows in excess of 420 gr. and have been unable to find a reason to change.

What am I missing out on with these ultra fast bows?

I've never understood the need either.
I shoot a Mathews LX @ 73 lbs.
My arrows are 525 grains and shoot around 260 FPS.
They Pass through almost everything I hit.
I know the Pro shops get sick of me asking them for 150 grain tips and broadheads.

I'm a little old school.
